My interest did not begin with one school assignment. It grew through reading, science, animals, travel, environmental habits and eventually the ocean.
I was fascinated by the natural world and by how animals and ecosystems work. Wildlife documentaries and books kept giving me new questions.
I began recycling bottles, saving paper and joining community activities. I learned that helping the environment could be part of everyday life.
Moving to Singapore made the sea feel much closer. I started picking up rubbish on beaches and became more interested in what happens beyond the shoreline.
Scuba diving connected theory with practice: safety procedures, equipment checks, underwater hand signals and finally the real ocean.
Seeing rubbish underwater led to more questions, a school sharing session, my PYP Exhibition on microplastics and eventually this website.
My interest in biology, environmental science and animal welfare also connects with my long-term hope of becoming a veterinarian.
